    “Einkaufsmöglichkeiten (Sparmarkt) gibt es im 2 Km entfernten Gjermundshamn. Die Preise in Norwegen liegen allerdings ca. dreifach über denen in Deutschland. Egal in welchem Markt man schaut. Die günstigsten Lebensmittel gibt es bei den markteigenen Hausmarken.

    Vom Haus aus das im "Vikaparken" liegt, hat man einige Wandermöglichkeiten. Ausflüge zu "Steinsdalsfossen" (ca. 1 Std.) oder Espelandsfossen (ca. 2. Std.) sind unbedingt empfehlenswert.”

    “Gjermundsham selber hat nicht viele Attraktionen oder Wandermöglichkeiten (empfehlenswert: Tour auf den Blanuten) allerdings eine sehr schöne Lage am Fjord. Um die Orte am Hardangerfjord mit etwas mehr Infrastruktur zu erreichen liegt Gjermundsham verkehrstechnisch nicht ganz optimal (Eidfjord, Tyssedal etc.) - man hat lange Wege am Fjord entlang oder muss die nicht ganz billige Fähre nach Rosendal benutzen. Für einen Ausflug nach Bergen oder auf die Inseln wie Bomlö ist die Lage allerdings gut.
    Einkaufsmöglichkeiten am Ort sind für eine Grundversorgung in Ordnung.”
