This old farmhouse, which is characteristic of the Eifel, has been converted into a charming holiday house. The inside has been renovated in an especially nice and stylish design while preserving traditional elements such as the lovely tile floor and natural stone. The house is next to a large barn, which is used exclusively for storage, so you have no immediate neighbours and your peace and privacy are ensured. The house has a nice and comfortable living room with a cosy open fireplace and a dining room with direct access to the lovely garden with enclosed terrace. This is a great place to sit and enjoy the open view of the gently rolling hills for which the Eifel countryside is known. You will also find a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom on the ground floor. The second floor contains the second bathroom and three bedrooms. Finally, there is a spacious open loft with the sixth sleeping area, so there is plenty of space.
There is now heating in this loft but because this is an open space the heat will go up to this space aswell. You can even park your car right out front free of charge.

This house is in a tranquil location at the edge of the little village of Kalenborn Scheuern, a good area for hiking, cycling and fishing. Gerolstein is 7 km away, known for its spring water. It has a wide selection of restaurants, cafes and shops. Also be sure to visit Kasselburg, a ruined castle with its Adler and Wolfspark. Here you can get a close look at wolves and birds of prey, and there is also a beautiful view from the ruin itself.

    “Wij hebben kerst gevierd in Kesselshaus. Wat een heerlijk en compleet huis! Het huis is volledig voorzien van goed werkende vloerverwarming en in combinatie met de goede isolatie, geen last van kou en tocht. De badkamers zijn prachtig. Een met een regen douche en de ander met een ruim bad. De woonkamer is gezellig met een houtkachel.
    De keuken is volledig uitgerust, maar dan ook echt volledig. Als je een kerstdiner wil verzorgen, hoef je je geen zorgen te maken dat essentiele gereedschappen ontbreken.
    Met twee kleine kindjes was het ook erg prettig dat we kleren konden wassen en drogen.

    Slaapkamers zijn ruim en de bedden comfortabel. Wij zouden enkel de volgende keer eigen kussens meenemen, want wij zijn wat steviger kussens gewend.

    Maria, de verhuurder, is een heel vriendelijke vrouw. Al na de eerste nacht wilden wij een nachtje aan het eind van de vakantie bij boeken. Maria heeft dit heel goed en snel voor ons in orde gemaakt.

    Het is ons zo goed bevallen dat wij zeker nog eens terug komen!”

    “Wir haben selten ein so gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus gesehen. Ein paar Beispiele: Gefrierschrank, zweiter Kühlschrank für Getränke, Spülmaschine, Waschmaschine und sogar an einen Pürierstab wurde gedacht.

    Das Haus ist geschmackvoll und modern eingerichtet, auch für uns 7 Personen (4 Erwachsene mit 3 Kindern) bietet das Haus genügend Platz.

    Wir haben uns auch über den sehr freundlichen Empfang gefreut und durften uns sogar am Apfelbaum im Garten bedienen.

    Wir können das Ferienhaus nur weiterempfehlen, danke für dem tollen Urlaub.”

Het lijkt alsof aan alles is gedacht: de uitrusting is meer dan compleet, het interieur is zeer smaakvol ingericht, je voelt je er gelijk thuis, kortom een perfecte Ferienhaus.
