Spacious, comfortable holiday house in fabulous nature, ideal for a relaxing family holiday, for nature and sports enthusiasts
This detached holiday house enjoys a fabulous location in the midst of the nature reserve between the lakes Attersee and Traunsee, in the picturesque Salzkammergut in Upper Austria.
The holiday house was built in 1978 and was extended with an annex and renovated recently, in 2013. Since 2015 the guests may use a spacious winter garden (40m²) with an open fireplace to relax. The house provides 140m² of living space on two floors, with a comfortable and cosy atmosphere, providing generous rooms with antique solid furniture. It has three bedrooms, all on the upper floor. The first bedroom is furnished with two rustic single beds next to each other, with a bedside table and reading lamp on either side. The second bedroom has a double bed. The third bedroom is suitable for up to three people, with a single bed and a double bed. A cot with bars is also available on request. Next to the bedrooms there is one of the two bathrooms on the upper floor. This spacious bathroom has a shower, a bath and a WC. The ground floor has a cosy lounge with a tiled fireplace stove, with a top cooking surface, so you can heat the room and the same time boil water for a cup of tea in the evening. On one side of the lounge you can relax on comfortable seating in front of the fireplace stove, with two armchairs and two sofas. There is satellite TV for entertainment. The other part of the living room has a big corner bench with a table, where you can dine together. There is a modern kitchen with an oven, ceramic hob, fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and coffee machine for self-catering. The second bathroom is on the ground floor and is a shower room with a WC. There is also a storage room on the ground floor, along with cloakroom space.
The two upper-floor bedrooms open onto the balcony. The outdoor area with use of a private 800m² garden has a lounger corner behind the house in the conservatory, along with a big grill area and a table tennis table. In front of the house there is a big table with benches, a sitting corner under the roof and a round barbecue. You can enjoy grill evenings together in summer. The newly completed annex has a relaxation room and a combination sauna, which can function either as a Finnish, steam or organic herbal sauna.
The locationin the quiet Wesenaurach Valley with a natural stream is especially suitable for children and those seeking relaxation, as well as for nature lovers. The house is an ideal starting point for hikes and cycle tours. Bicycles can be borrowed. The surroundings offer a range of sports: tennis (on request), cycling, hiking, mushroom gathering, mountain biking, swimming, mountain climbing, skiing, ski touring, sailing etc. The house has a table tennis table. A small children’s playground and play equipment are provided. There are shops and restaurants 3km away. It is a 15-20-mintue drive to Attersee (about 17km). You can get to Gmunden (about 10km) and Traunsee within 10-15 minutes by car. In the wider surroundings it is half an hour’s drive to Bad Ischl and 50 minutes to Dachstein.
