The fishing town of Llanes in Asturias is beautifully situated on the Cantabrian Sea and protected by the majestic Picos de Europa mountain range in the hinterland. You will find lively tapas bars in the squares and streets that end in a picturesque fishing port. Explore the medieval center and visit the thirteenth-century church of Santa Maria and the chapels of Santa Ana and Magdalena. The 300-metre-long city wall is of course also a listed building. Llanes also offers beautiful beaches such as San Antolín, Torimbia, Barro, Celorio, Poo, Sablón and Toró. If you love nature, you can take a walk along the Paseo de San Pedro, a cliff path from which you have a magnificent view of the town and the Cantabrian Sea.
