Welcome with family or friends at the foot of the Canal du Midi and the Montagne Noire, 1 hour from Toulouse, Albi and Carcassonne and very close to Castres! Holidays are a great time to get together, and there aren't many large gîtes that can accommodate all these people.
The Black Mountains are so beautiful! With its many footpaths, including the GR 653 (Chemin de Saint-Jacques-de-Compostelle), you can explore it on foot or by mountain bike, for a breath of fresh air.
But it's also blue, with 5 mountain lakes (Saint-Ferréol, 6 km away, Lac des Cammazes, Lac du Lampy, Lac de la Galaube, Lac de Laprade Basse) where you can swim, or simply stroll in the shade along the channel created by Pierre-Paul Riquet, the inventor of the Canal du Midi. Not to mention the countless streams and torrents flowing down its slopes, refreshing the bastides of Sorèze and Revel, nestling at the foot of the mountain, real architectural gems, full of life (museums and on Saturday mornings the magnificent Revel market, voted one of the 100 most beautiful markets in France).
The Gîte du Presbytère sleeps 14 people, is totally self-contained, spacious and comfortable, with a kitchen, large living room, 5 bedrooms, 2 shower rooms and 2 WCs. Well-equipped, in a very quiet setting in the middle of the countryside, it is owned by the Garrevaques municipality. It benefits from a shady exterior for hot summer days, spacious grounds for children's games and private parking.
The ground floor comprises a large living room with dining area and sitting area, a fully-equipped kitchen and a toilet. There is also a garage that can be used as a laundry room (washing machine) or as a children's playroom in inclement weather.
