This villa is located in the countryside of the Salento region, only 5 km away from the city of Galatina, a city considered the jewel of winery in the province of Lecce. The villa is in the middle of a rich green countryside full of olive trees and typical stone walls. In the heart of the Salento region only 20 km from both the ionic and the Adriatic seaside. This two family country house’s characteristics are the tranquillity and the amount of care that has been putten in the big garden by which it is surrounded. The covered surface is about 180 square meters and in addition there is a ca 60mq veranda. The garden has a considerable amount of olive trees, pine trees, citruses, vineyards and prickly pears cactuses. It also has an area on which kitchen vegetables are cultivated, that extends in the back of the house. The total surface of the garden is about 10000 mq. The entrance to the house is through a tree planted avenue of ca 60 meters and there is the possibility of parking the car next to the villa. It is a two-storeyed building, on the upper floor, a master, a single and a guest bedroom are located. The single bedroom has a veranda and on the same floor there are 2 separated bathrooms. On the entrance floor you can find a cosy living room with 2 verandas, a dining room with a kitchen and a veranda as well. On the lower floor there is a big tavern with a fire place and a kitchenette. On the outside area there is a stone oven and 2 barbecues.
This place is ideal for a vacation in a total relaxed atmosphere and you have the possibility to enjoy the beauty and the peace of the salentinian countryside. It is the perfect location as a starting point for the discovery of the Salento region and its well known cities as the distance to the city of Galatina is only 5 minutes by car. The city of Lecce and Gallipoli are within 20 minutes driving range and others like Otranto, Castro and Santa Cearea not more than 25 minutes.
The city of Galatina has ancient winery traditions due to its numerouses wine cellars and therefore it’ s considered “ The City of Wine” in the province of Lecce. The city is also located in a territory wich has a big gastronomic tradition. In the area, you can find numeroses restaurants and old wine bars.
