The neighborhood

Ahrweiler, an old medieval town is located at the river Ahr.
It's famous for the half-timbered houses in the centre of Ahrweiler, surrounded by the medieval town walls, wich are still entirely preserved.
Our house is located on the south side of Ahrweiler, in a traffic-calmed residential street, close to the former monastery Calvary, even close to unspoilt meadows and vineyards.
Nearby are Ahruferweg and Ahr Biking Trail, which take you in more idyllic wine villages of the romatic Ahr valley.
Bas Neuenahr-Ahrweiler and the Ahr valley offer a variety of attractions and recreational activities.

Getting around

A bus stop is nearby:
The train station (Ahrweiler Market) is about 2 km away.
Only 1-2 car or about 8 minute walk to the historic old town.
The AhrValley bike trail is about 300 m away, also only 500 m and you reach the pool Ahrweiler.
Hike along the famous "Red Wine Hiking Trail". It's one of Germany's most beautiful footpaths.
The signposted trail winds its way thruogh the vineyards with beautiful lookouts, picturesque winemaking villages and impressive ancient ruins high above them.
Or take the "Ahr Biking Trail" wich is easy to ride.
