The appealing and comfortable holiday property 'Ferie Fjord' is located in attractive surroundings beside the Limfjord in north Jutland. 'Ferie Fjord' is an attractive and well-maintained four-winged country house containing 16 separate residences in all sizes sleeping from two to fourteen people. All residences are stylishly and charmingly decorated with their own terrace. There are also extensive communal areas with views over the meadows, the forest and the fjord. The house's outdoor facilities are in a class of their own. The large, park-like gardens contain outdoor fireplaces, play areas and many charming nooks and crannies which are perfect for an undisturbed rest. Inside, all modern facilities will be at your disposal including an indoor swimming pool and spa, large communal area with space for 45 diners, darts, petanque, Internet, badminton, ball area with goal, table tennis, billiards, air hockey, fitness equipment, trampoline (with safety net), Playstation and volleyball. 'Ferie Fjord' offers visitors superb holiday accommodation all year round in an environment where there is always plenty to do, both indoors and out. A visit to the region can easily be combined with a sailing trip around the Limfjord on board one of the old wooden ships that ply their trade on the water, or one of the small ferries which link the islands of Venø, Fur and Livø with the mainland. The car-free island of Livø boasts a rich variety of animal life, including a colony of seals at the tip of protected and inaccessible Livø Tap area. Also worth a visit is Vitskøl, an impressive three-winged monastery dating back to 1157, which is known for its large herb garden and ruined church. The Limfjord area offers plenty of activities for all the family, including excellent opportunities for hiking, horse riding, and cycling along the many paths and tracks, which wind through the attractive landscape. Fishing is also a popular pastime, whether in the fjord, rivers, or local 'put and take' lakes. For those interested in golf, the region boasts three 18-hole courses, The local beaches are, for the most part, flat and child friendly, and are ideal for wind and kite surfing, sailing and other water sports. Alternatively, the North Sea coastline at Slettestrand is just 35 kilometres away. Children will love a trip to Jesperhus Flower Park, Aalborg Zoo, Mønsted Chalk Mines, Hjerl Hede Open-Air Museum, and the Tivoliland and Fårup Sommerland amusement parks, all of which are less than an hour's drive away.
