Holidays in the Algarve In our holiday home "Casa Margarida Azul", right in the historic center of Silves you will experience the Portuguese everyday life of a centuries-old city that rises with its castle on the banks of the Arade between hills and orange groves. The town house from 1857 was modernized by us in 2017/18, creating a symbiosis of traditional materials and a modern way of life. The kitchen, living room and bedroom have a state-of-the-art air conditioning system that you can use to heat on cold days. Especially beautiful is the roof terrace, which rises above the roofs of the city, unforgettable the light of the sunrises and sunsets and the typical "Algarve-fragrancy" of figs, oranges and strawberry tree - mixed with the salt of the fresh Atlantic air. From here, far from tourist strongholds, you can explore the wonderful landscapes, towns and beaches of the Algarve (the nearest beach can be reached in 12 minutes by car). Due to the use of biological cleaning and laundry detergents allergy sufferers feel comfortable in the house. Allergy vacuum cleaner available. Pets are not allowed, no smoking in the house, no parties. Washing machine, bed linen and towels are provided. Guidebook Algarve Baedeker in the house (German). Free Wi-Fi, Smart TV. The guests of our house are, without exception, friendly, open-minded couples from the same household who are looking for relaxation. There is at least one day between the rentals - usually several days. In addition to thorough cleaning, a disinfection check list specified by us is processed and the house is thoroughly ventilated. We attach great importance to cleanliness and your satisfaction and look forward to your visit. Safe+Clean!

P.P.S. Every year in August, there is a big, spectacular festival in the old town of Silves, the "Feira Medieval de Silves". With this festival the city reminds of its impressive history in the region. Please research the date of the event on the internet. During this time the old town is closed for car traffic!



The house is located in the middle of the historic old town of Silves in a small alley. There is rarely a car here. From the roof terrace you have a wonderful view over the city. By the way: Our warm and helpful manager lives in the direct neighborhood. She speaks english.

    in der Casa Margarida Azul sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus wurde perfekt renoviert und liegt reizvoll in der Altstadt von Silves. Wir wurden überaus freundlich von der örtlichen Verwalterin begrüßt und sehr gut eingewiesen. Das schöne Wetter sorgte auch dafür, daß wir oft auf der großen Dachterrasse die Aussicht auf die Stadt genießen konnten.”

Die Kücheneinrichtung dürfte mit wenigen Messern, Rüsterli und Bretter mehr ausgestattet sein, ansonsten es ausreichend Möglichkeiten hat. Das Wasser beim duschen variert so stark dass man sich einmal verbrennt und darauf gleich wieder erfriert, sehr unangenehm. Das Licht ist sehr difus und könnte heller sein. Ansonsten sind die Vermieter sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.”
