In the southernmost part of Ringkøbing Fjord, Bjerregård Strand - also known as Hegnet (the Hedge) - is a quiet area that never seems to be crowded. The holiday home enjoys a natural setting overlooking the dunes. Ringkøbing Fjord is 300 m away and so is a stunning beach by the North Sea where you can sunbathe in peace and quiet in one of the many sheltered sand dunes. By Ringkøbing Fjord, approx. 1 km south of the house, the local area 'Hegnet' has a private mooring called 'Dødemandsbjerget' (Dead Man's Hill) which is available for use by residents who bring their own boats. Both Ringkøbing Fjord and the North Sea offer plenty of scope for good fishing. At Hvide Sande, flat fish, garfish and herrings are caught by the bucketful. Ringkøbing Fjord is also known as the best place to surf in the whole of Scandinavia.
