Holiday Chalet Buhl in Habkern.

This apartment features a spacious floor plan spread over two floors. The interior is stylishly designed, nicely decorated and has partial wooden panel. The apartment Chalet Buhl leaves nothing to be desired. Start the day with a wonderful view of the mountains from the balcony. The quaint village of Habkern lies in the Bernese Oberland bordering Emmental. Due to its remoteness, the villagers’ daily life still exhibits an adherence to many old traditions of Habkern. Interlaken, the starting point for boat trips on the beautiful Lake Brienz or Lake Thun, is only about 15 minutes away by car. Also the well-known skiing and hiking areas like Grindelwald or Lauterbrunnen can be accessed easily via Interlaken. Even Jungfraujoch can be visited directly from Interlaken by train.
The cities of Lucerne and Bern are within an hour's drive away from Interlaken. The two cities also have direct train connections through the beautiful Swiss landscape.

"Luegibodenstein" – the 5000 cubic metres of granite has been under conservation efforts for over 100 years in Habkern. In 1852 a piece of granite block was given as a gift from Switzerland to Washington.

Habkern has 3 restaurants, a bakery and a cafe. The bakery also caters to the grocery needs of the guests.

Summer

In summer and autumn, holidaymakers can enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Thun. Guests can explore the hiking trails at Alp Chromatte or Hellboden (also suitable for winter hiking) or go for an excursion to the Grünenberg Pass overlooking the Eriztal.
Explore the natural surroundings and do visit the cheese factory Alp Heubühlen. One can also enjoy a bike tour to the Grünenberg Pass or take a dip in the outdoor pool of Habkern (open from June to September). Also do not forget to visit the popular attractions nearby like the UNESCO Biosphere in Entlebuch, which is only a 90 minute drive away. Guests can also take a trip to the Beatushölen or explore the impressive Aare Gorge near Meiringen.

Winter
In winter, the small ski area of Habkern-Sattelegg awaits holidaymakers with its ski lift. Well-known ski areas like Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Kleine Scheidegg or the Brienzer Rothorn can be reached in about an hour. Do enjoy snowshoeing to Lombachalp or winter hike to Hellboden overlooking the snowy landscape of Lake Thun.
During stormy days one can also visit the work shop or the local museum of Habkern.
Indoor activities like bowling alley or casino in Interlaken can be explored in case of bad weather.
