    “Die Ortschaft Agon-Coutainville ist ein hübscher Ort mit Geschäften, Lokalen und einem Supermarkt. Vom Haus aus erreicht man die Ortsmitte in ca. 20 Minuten zu Fuß über die Promenade. Zu unserer Reisezeit in der ersten Julihälfte waren nicht sehr viele Touristen anzutreffen, der Strand oft menschenleer, das hat uns gut gefallen. Insofern war alles sehr entspannt und authentisch. Die Preise in den Speiselokalen waren sicherlich in Ordnung; da wir keinen Vergleich haben, können wir über das Preisniveau aber keine Angaben machen.
    Was man als unerfahrener Reisender wissen muss, ist, dass Ebbe und Flut in dieser Gegend sehr stark ausgeprägt sind. Bade- bzw. Zeiten zum Sonnen am Strand muss man tatsächlich kalkulieren, da stundenlang „gar kein Wasser da ist“ oder der Strand überflutet wird. Das ist selbstverständlich in Ordnung, aber mit Kindern vielleicht zu bedenken.
    Am Ortsrand befindet sich eine Segelschule, andere sportliche Aktivitäten wurden in Agon-Coutainville unseres Wissens nicht angeboten. Da wir die Umgegend nun leider nicht mit Fahrrädern erkunden konnten, ist uns möglicherweise einiges entgangen. Wir sind stattdessen hin und wieder mit Auto unterwegs gewesen und haben dem Reiseführer entsprechend die ausgewiesenen Sehenswürdigkeiten aufgesucht.”
