Vintner’s house with its own pool, on a vineyard in the Pays Cathare, with the possibility of wine tasting
The stone house, along with two other holiday residences, is on a vineyard above the little wine-growing village of Cascastel. It is ideally situated at the heart of the Corbières region, in the Pays Cathare, and is the perfect holiday accommodation for families or groups of friends.
The Mediterranean house from the 20th century has been renovated and provides 210m² of space for twelve people. It has four bedrooms with their own bathrooms, with a shower/bath. The toilets are separate. Three bedrooms have a double bed, while the fourth can accommodate six people. The spacious living room has a fireplace that you can enjoy spending cooler evenings by on the comfortable seating furniture. The fully-equipped kitchen has an adjoining big dining table. There is also a utility room with a washing machine and a dryer.
Two small gardens, from which you have a direct view of the vineyards, belong to the house, along with a private pool below the sun terrace, with deckchairs. You can enjoy meals outdoors on the adjacent, roofed terrace and admire the grandiose sunset.
It is possible to enjoy free wine tasting on the vineyard. You can also book a payable “introduction to wine tasting”, with a tour of the vineyards and the wine cellars with a commentated tasting of the seven wines produced at the vineyard. You can ask about prices on arrival.
It is a two-minute walk to the nearest restaurant. Gourmets will not mind driving twelve kilometres to a restaurant awarded three Michelin stars. Of course there are also many other restaurants nearby of all categories. There is a grocery shop two kilometres from the house, or a supermarket a six-kilometre drive away. It is just 25km to the Mediterranean Sea.
