When the fishing boats arrive, you can buy freshly caught fish on site. A visit to the neighboring town of Vila do Conde, where a weekly market takes place on Fridays, is recommended. Only a few kilometers away is the second largest city in Portugal - Porto - with its old town, which is well worth seeing. Don't miss out on excursions along the Rio Douro or to the historic cities of Guimarães, Braga and Viana do Castelo.
