This large single-storey holiday home leaves nothing to be desired. The large windows let light into the living room and kitchen and you have a wonderful unobstructed view of nature. In the evening you can take a bath in the hot tub, which is located in the house, after which you have the opportunity to make a BBQ with the gas grill and end the evening with a glass. Akureyri is only about 50 kilometers below the Arctic Circle.The only small town until then really flourished through trade and fishing from around 1900. The botanical garden high above the fjord is remarkable: there are more than 6000 foreign species of flowers, trees and other plants to see, as well as about 400 native species.The garden is open all year round - usually from sunrise to sunset.

Activities nearby: The famous Go & eth; afoss waterfall is about 40 kilometers away - the sight of huge amounts of falling water is really impressive! Also drive to the beautiful Mývatn region, Iceland's largest nature reserve. Backwaters crossed by lava residues create an almost mystical atmosphere. You can also go whale watching in Akureyri. Not far from your holiday home is the Ambassador Whale Watching Station, right on the water. A petting zoo or the VaglasÓgur forest are about 50-60 km away and are also worth a trip
