Holiday lofts by the Havel

The 15 holiday lofts are situated on the edge of the Brandenburg old town, only 800 metres from the pedestrian zone. It is a few minutes on foot, by bike or by boat into the town centre, where you can stroll along the pedestrian zone, visit one of the many old churches such as the Brandenburger Dom, or visit the theatre. The many restaurants invite you to enjoy cosy evenings. For over 100 years, the finest wool and wool silk were produced on the site of the former worsted yarn spinning factory. Today you can enjoy life by the Havel here and relax. No matter whether you want to simply chill out in one of the two gardens, on the terrace or on the swimming jetty – here you can find peace and quiet right by the water, in the midst of town.

The maisonette apartment is on the upper floor of the former tannery and has a spacious and generous layout (66m²). The generously equipped apartment is suitable for 4 people. Children’s travel beds and highchairs can be booked in advance. The Italian sofas and armchairs in the living room invite you to relax. The big flatscreen TV with cable channels and a Blu-ray player provide ample entertainment. The stereo system with a Bluetooth connection allows you to enjoy your own music. Wi-Fi is available in the apartment. The living room directly adjoins the kitchen-diner with a fully-equipped kitchen (toaster also available on request) and a generous, solid wooden dining table, inviting you to enjoy culinary experiences. The two bedrooms on the lower level and the gallery are each furnished with an extra-long (210cm), high-quality, comfortable box spring bed.

This apartment has an individual terrace area planted with hedges all around. The Bavarian rustic beer garden tables and chairs invite you to enjoy cosy hours in the fresh Havel air. This area is adjoined by a large lawn by the banks of the Havel with direct access to the house’s own swimming jetty with a ladder to facilitate getting in and out of the canoe or rowing boat. There is also a grill area there with a very large natural stone table (ca. 5 x 1.20m).

There is a large, enclosed room on the ground floor for storing bicycles, canoes or rowing boats, as well as a shared washing machine with a dryer available for use (bookable in advance).
The accommodation is classified as four-star. Canoe hire and tour recommendations are available. A parking space, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are free of charge, as well as a choice of games in dull weather.

The town of Brandenburg by the Havel is over 1000 years old and lies amidst the Mark Brandenburg between Berlin and Magdeburg. It is connected to other towns in the area by the blue strip of the Havel, country roads and cycle paths, so you can go on exploratory tours on the water or on land, whether it is by boat, bike, car or on foot. Berlin is only about 45 minutes away by Regional Express 1.

    “Ansonsten gerne wieder. Positiv: Die Unterkunft war toll,alles da was man braucht und kurzer Weg zum Einkaufen. Negativ: Dort fehlt ein Restaurant. Eine Raucherinsel oder Ascher für Raucher neben den Ein und Ausgang.”

    “Gutes Appartement für eine kleine Familie. Positiv: Frühstück Angebot im Haus.
    Großes Schlafzimmer. Negativ: Die Lage: nicht in der Stadt und auch nicht in der Natur.
    Keine Gardinen im Wohnzimmer, und da entlang erreicht man das Badezimmer.
    Keine Douchekabine, das ganze Badezimmer war beim immer nass. Restaurant: Humboildhain - Sehr lecker Essen, mehr als Standard! Ausflüge: Potsdam - Schöner Stadt mit vielen Schlösser und ein lustiger Holländischen Stadtteil!”

    “Very nice place - great with the garden and the apartment with a taste of New York - great. Fantastic to be able to start kayak outside the door on Havel and very nice to store kayak inside. We loved Brandenburg with the charme, nice cafees and the easy going feeling. In Brandenburg it is easy to bike from place to place.”

    “Positiv: Die Ferienwohnung ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Geschirr war ausreichend vorhanden, wenngleich große Kaffeetassen fehlten.
    Der naheliegende Supermarkt war schnell zu erreichen. Negativ: Auf Grund der sommerlichen Temperaturen war der Schlafbereich auf der Galerie grenzwertig. Der Galeriebereich ließ sich nicht lüften die Temperaturen stiegen auf über 30 Grad. Der bereitgestellte Lüfter konnte durch die massive Galeriebrüstung aus Beton keine Abhilfe schaffen. Das übersteigt die Grenze der Zumutbarkeit. Hier sollte Abhilfe in Form einer direkten Abluft über Dach nachgedacht werden um kühlere Luft aus dem EG nachströmen zu lassen.”
